0:06
What you're about to see is deeply disturbing.
0:11
A man secretly films a woman from behind. He follows her onto a train.
0:20
Seconds later, he sexually abuses her.
0:26
But it's not just this one video. There are thousands of them. All for sale online.
0:36
This is a horrific business making huge profits from sexual assaults targeting women across East Asia.
0:44
BBC Eye takes you inside this dark world to find out who's behind it.
0:51
This is a story about sexual predators. I repeatedly filmed up women's skirts.
1:01
The women who are fighting back. On the train, nobody helped me.
1:08
I had to catch him, I couldn't let him get away with that. These girls are suffering,
1:13
but they stay silent. We just don't want to be sexually assaulted.
1:20
And we go undercover to expose the men who are cashing in on sexual violence.
1:26
Some men are very perverted, and they just want to see these women getting... - …getting screwed over.
1:33
Which one of you two is Maomi? Hey! Hey! Stop, stop, stop.
Meet Inspector Murakami
2:00
07:18 on the platform, nice and crowded.
2:12
There's a guy looking for a target.
2:20
I would like to follow him to check his behaviour for a bit.
2:27
It looks like the kind of behaviour a "Chikan" perpetrator would make.
2:53
We're the Railway Police. I just want to talk to you.
3:00
Were you targeting women? No, I wasn't doing that at all. I don't usually take the train.
3:05
You're riding back and forth on a single ticket. Sexual abusers ride like that.
3:12
I see. I just want to talk to you about that. OK, I understand. Let's go.
3:25
Just like Inspector Murakami, we're also on a hunt for sexual assaulters.
Reporter Zhaoyin Feng delves into Chikan websites
3:31
I'm Zhaoyin Feng, a reporter for the BBC. And what brought us here is a website we came across a few months ago.
3:43
The website is called DingBuZhu. It means "I can't hold it" in Chinese.
3:50
And it immediately caught our attention. The main image shows a man ejaculating on a woman's dress.
3:58
Next to it, there is a list of disturbing video categories.
4:04
This doesn't look like other porn websites. DingBuZhu is full of sexually explicit videos
4:13
with shocking descriptions. Thousands of them.
4:19
All for sale. Many of them are filmed on the metro in China.
4:27
Some are on buses. Others on escalators and in shopping malls.
4:34
All follow the same pattern. A man films and stalks his female target from behind.
4:42
What comes next is too graphic to show you in full. He gets his genitals out and rubs them against her body.
4:52
Some of the men even ejaculate on their victims' clothes or hair.
4:57
You can also order your own tailor-made abuse on the website. It's clear the videos are not staged.
5:06
They're filmed in crowded public places and the men act discreetly.
5:12
These women are victims of sexual violence. And some videos of their assaults are sold on DingBuZhu for less than a dollar.
5:22
As we take a closer look at some of the videos I notice something familiar.
5:27
These videos are filmed in the metro in Guangzhou, my hometown.
5:33
I used to ride this exact same line every day.
5:38
But it's not just mainland China. Some videos are shot in Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan.
5:47
And it's not just one website. DingBuZhu links to two others: Jieshe and Chihan.
5:55
All three websites have affiliated Twitter accounts where they advertise their shocking videos.
6:02
There is also a Telegram group with 4,000 members who share tips on how to sexually abuse women.
6:09
This is a business profiting from sexual assaults, selling horrific videos
6:16
to what looks like an online community of perverts. But who's behind the websites?
6:23
As we delve deeper into this sick world one name keeps coming up:
Who is Uncle Qi?
6:30
Uncle Qi. He's hailed as the guru of this community.
6:36
On Twitter, he puts up teasers of the websites' videos to his followers.
6:43
But who is he? And where can he be? The Telegram group reveals more.
6:50
An admin posted these photos and claimed he abused a woman with Uncle Qi.
6:58
The location looks like a metro station. And within hours, we get a match.
7:08
In Tokyo. Ikebukuro station.
Takako shares her experience of sexual assault
7:27
The first time I was sexually assaulted, it was the second day of high school.
7:36
The train was very crowded.
7:42
In the shake of the train, it felt like a hand hitting me.
7:47
The train was busy, so it didn't seem strange. The hand flipped from its back to its palm like this.
7:58
I started to feel like it was touching and grabbing me. That's when I finally realised that this was Chikan.
8:07
Then the hand disappeared into the crowd. I couldn't do anything about it
8:15
I walked to school crying. I was 15 years old.
8:24
I was sexually assaulted almost every day. Every time this happened, I would tell my mum: "I encountered Chikan."
8:35
She'd tell me it's not my fault. Despite what my mum said, the abuse didn't stop.
8:42
I started to think: "Maybe there's another reason. Maybe it really is my fault."
8:49
I gradually lost my fighting spirit. My self-esteem and confidence started to disappear.
9:03
The sexual assault Takako experienced is known as "Chikan" in Japan.
9:09
My life is over now. My life is over now.
9:16
Thousands of arrests are made every year. And offenders are usually ordered to pay small fines.
9:23
But in many cases, the crime goes unpunished.
9:32
Chikan has been normalised over the years by its prominence in the adult entertainment industry.
9:41
It's everywhere. And the same industry exported the "Chikan" genre
9:49
to other Asian countries. In China, it's called Chihan.
9:56
It's also the name of one of the websites we're investigating. In recent years, Chikan crime has also become widespread.
We go to China and meet Rugby star Megan
10:22
This photo means a lot to me because it was the first time that I played the piano.
10:29
They say you can't have too many skills.
10:34
I'm 22 years old. I teach conversational English.
10:42
About three years ago, my friend introduced me to a touch rugby club in Guangzhou.
10:51
I fell in love with this sport from the very beginning.
10:59
I used to prefer to take the metro, but now I think the metro is too crowded.
11:13
The pitch is over there. I need to speed up. They've started.
11:30
In October 2021, I took the train to go to the city centre as usual.
11:38
I suddenly felt a man standing very close behind me.
11:43
The front of his body was pressed against my back.
11:52
I hesitated for a long time because it's hard to tell if someone is really sexually harassing you.
12:11
I clearly felt his erection,
12:18
so that's what made me more certain that he was abusing me.
12:26
I couldn't stand it any longer, I was already very angry.
12:32
I grabbed him tightly by the collar and we went to the police station.
12:37
I had to catch him. I couldn't let him get away with that.
12:59
We're searching for Uncle Qi. The shadowy figure we believe is running the sexual assault websites.
13:08
We go back online to follow the money.
13:13
The websites list AliPay, WeChat Pay, PayPal, and Amazon Gift Card as payment options.
13:23
We find dozens of accounts. All linked to individuals who process the transactions.
13:30
Most accounts receive payments in Chinese Yuan. But one stands out.
13:38
This Paypal account. It accepts money in Japanese Yen,
13:44
and the owner has a Chinese name, "Xinyu Zang".
13:49
The account is linked to an email address that we also find on DingBuZhu.
13:55
When we enter it on Google Contacts we get this picture.
Who is Noctis?
14:02
A reverse image search brings up the original photo in a tweet promoting a metal band called "The Versus"
14:11
posted by this account, "Noctis Zang."
14:19
Noctis is a Chinese musician. He made a name in China cosplaying as a character from the Final Fantasy video games.
14:29
He then moved to Tokyo and formed The Versus.
14:35
Could this rock singer be Uncle Qi? On Chinese social media Weibo,
14:42
we discover that the band had a fallout in early 2022. we discover that the band had a fallout in early 2022. In a post,
14:47
the band's photographer accused Noctis of being a cybercriminal and building "porn sites" alongside the band's bassist
14:57
Lupus Fu. He also shared these images of a notebook.
15:03
They show some accounting, and video categories that look similar to those on the websites.
15:10
He claimed that Noctis wrote the notes. The photographer also posted a video.
15:17
It shows what appears to be Noctis's browsing history with links to Chihan,
15:24
Jieshe, and the admin pages of DingBuZhu.
15:29
All the evidence suggests Noctis is a key figure behind the websites.
15:35
But is he Uncle Qi? To find out, we need to meet him.
15:42
We send him an email, posing as Ian. A manager scouting talent for a heavy metal festival in Asia.
16:03
Yayoi. Hello. Hello. How are you doing these days?
Yayoi the activist
16:09
Work and family are going well, thanks to you. I was able to share my feelings only with you, Yayoi.
16:19
That's something others couldn't help me with. I'm glad I met you, Yayoi.
16:30
I am a childhood friend of Takako's mother. I moved to Tokyo when I was 20.
16:39
From that time, I encountered Chikan again and again.
16:45
I was only able to talk about it after Takako thought of the idea for the Chikan prevention badge.
16:53
And I started the anti-Chikan activities.
16:59
We created Chikan prevention badges to spread awareness so that Chikan crimes will disappear from trains.
17:09
I want to save a lot of women, a lot of victims.
17:15
I want the Chikan problem solved.
17:20
I started the Chikan Prevention Activities Centre in 2016.
17:28
At the centre, we hold a Chikan prevention badge design contest every summer.
17:37
We accept designs from students, make products out of the five best pieces of work,
17:46
and then distribute them.
17:51
Yayoi and Takako meet up at a badge-making company. They're joined by the owner.
18:00
Remember the first one? This takes me back. This takes you back, doesn't it? The very first badge. Yes, yes.
18:08
13,000 people have taken part in the contests.
18:15
All these people working and thinking together about how bad Chikan is...
18:24
it's deeply moving. - That's for sure. - My primary school daughter makes them at home now.
18:33
- And when she makes it, I give her pocket money.
18:46
You have done a beautiful job. Thank you very much. It's beautiful. It's freshly made, freshly hot.
18:52
Hot. Chikan is a social issue that needs to be solved.
19:01
We want to change the world in this way.
19:18
On the way back from seeing Yayoi and Takako, we get a response from Noctis.
19:33
Our undercover journalist, acting as Ian, the talent scout, contacts him.
19:43
Hello. Hello. How are you? Hello, Noctis. Let's meet in the city centre.
19:49
Let's have a chat about the band and another business that my company is interested in investing in.
19:56
OK. It's a deal. Bye, Noctis. Bye.
20:08
We agree to meet Noctis at a rooftop bar in Tokyo.
Undercover reporter comes face to face with Noctis
20:19
Are you Noctis? Yes, I am. Hello, Noctis. Come up and sit with me.
20:25
OK?
20:33
What's your Chinese name? Zang. How about your given name? Xinyu.
20:40
Zang Xinyu? Yes. OK. Zang Xinyu,
20:46
the same name as the one on the PayPal account from DingBuZhu.
20:54
When did you come to Japan? In 2017. I came to Japan to study music for two years.
21:03
Over the course of a week, Ian meets Noctis multiple times.
21:09
They bond over music. The atmosphere is awesome.
21:15
And sex. Do you prefer Japanese porn films or Hong Kong ones or American ones? The Hong Kong ones have plots. They are more interesting.
21:23
Ian asks about business opportunities in Japan's sex industry.
21:29
And Noctis introduces him to someone who is well connected. The big boss from the music festival wants to have a chat with you.
21:37
A name we're familiar with. Hello, Lupus. - Nice to talk to you. - Yes, it's me, Lupus.
21:43
Lupus Fu, the band's bassist.
21:51
Ian sets up a meeting with them.
21:56
Noctis, it's your birthday. Cheers! - Congrats! Congrats! Happy birthday.
22:03
We're the first to wish you a happy birthday. Thank you, thank you.
22:13
Noctis says you are very familiar with Japan's sex industry.
22:19
- I know all about it. - I can tell you the current trend of people's sex fetishes.
22:24
- It starts from traditional sex intercourse to anal sex.
22:30
- Now it's Chikan on the streets. - Sex fetishes are getting stranger these days.
22:38
My boss wants to register a company here and invest in the porn industry.
22:44
Did you two collaborate on porn websites? I actually had a bit of exposure before, and I introduced him to my friend.
22:53
- Huh? Maomi. Is Maomi a good friend of the band?
22:59
Good friend. Was he the first among you to work in the porn industry? Yeah.
23:04
He is a guru, right? - Pretty much. Is his content the kind you find on Pornhub or...?
23:12
He makes niche content. The niche, special ones? Metro.
23:20
There's a website called DingBuZhu. What does the site look like? It's a website where you can buy a lot of videos.
23:29
- What type of videos? Like the upskirting ones that you can pay for. - Holy ****.
23:37
Maomi's website. - Maomi's website. That's Maomi's site? Yes. It's obvious that this is secret filming.
23:43
- Holy ****. It's become famous. What these guys find funny here is a huge breakthrough for us.
23:51
We now have a name for the person behind DingBuZhu. Maomi.
23:57
We've also seen the name before in this Weibo post by the band's photographer
24:02
who claimed Maomi hosted Noctis in his high-rise apartment in Tokyo.
24:08
In Chinese, Maomi means kitty cat. What is Maomi's personality like?
24:15
- He's like a hamster. - He's really hamster-like in his personality.
24:20
He has no communication skills. Does he look like a hamster too? - He doesn't look like a hamster, but his personality is similar to one.
24:27
- He's harmless, but cautious of everything and he is sometimes extremely careful.
24:33
- I have hamsters too, I know. But he's just good at business?
24:38
- Very talented. He has a good sense for shady business.
24:48
It's clear that Maomi is an important player in this business.
24:54
But could he be Uncle Qi?
25:06
Women being sexually assaulted in public is a global phenomenon.
25:12
But in Japan, it's an endemic problem. Chikan has even been turned into a form of entertainment.
The legal Chikan club
25:22
In Yokohama's red light district, there's a sex club where customers can pay to enjoy the Chikan experience.
25:31
We've come to meet the manager of the club.
25:36
Mr Hasuda. Yes. Nice meeting you. Nice to meet you too.
25:41
The name is Rush Hour. We are a Chikan sex club.
25:47
Usually, Chikan is illegal, but in our club, you pay and then you can enjoy Chikan legally.
25:53
That's how we operate.
26:00
The concept is that customers can commit Chikan on the girls in the train car.
26:07
We make our customers happy. Ise, does it look like we'll have quite a few visitors today? - Yes, we have lots of girls, about 20 of them.
26:13
- The customers will definitely come. Ah, I see. There are a lot of girls here today. I think we'll end up with about 40 or 50 customers.
26:20
- If it doesn't rain or something. As long as it doesn't rain. OK. This is our shop's membership card.
26:27
The design of the travel card is similar to the ones you use on trains.
26:35
It has contact details written on it. It's a copy of the original. It looks real so that customers can enjoy riding with us in an authentic way.
26:44
I did it myself on my computer.
26:59
The room is a realistic reproduction of a train interior with hanging straps, seats and an eye mask for play...
27:10
...things like that. There are also quite realistic things like iron bars.
27:19
Our best feature is the sound system.
27:24
We play realistic train sounds, like this.
27:33
Why do you think your customers want the Chikan experience? I think it's important for men to be able to pay to vent in places like this
27:43
so that they don't commit rape. However, once you take even one step outside the shop,
27:51
I consider it a crime for anyone to do something unwanted or unpleasant to a person.
27:59
What is the difference between Chikan here and Chikan in real life?
28:06
The difference is the girls are actually paid money to do this work. It's like an equal transaction.
28:14
Do you think the business provides a training ground for people who want to commit Chikan?
28:21
I think that's a bit of a mean question. I don't think of it in that way.
28:28
This is just a place for fun, not something that encourages crime.
28:38
Why do you think this business is good for women who work here? There aren't many girls who want to do this job.
28:46
And there are girls who are able to achieve their own goals and dreams. And there are girls who are able to achieve their own goals and dreams.
28:51
In my shop, Chikan is justice.
29:03
We just left the legal Chikan zone. I feel I can finally breathe again.
29:12
Of course, what happens in the shop is different from the Chikan crime in reality
29:17
but the underlying idea is very similar. Men can control women in the way they like.
29:28
I want to know what it's like to work here. Later that night, the manager lets us meet one of their most popular girls,
29:37
but only under his supervision. How long have you been doing this job?
29:43
I've been at Rush Hour for nearly two years
29:49
and in the sex industry almost nine years. I find it easier to work at Rush Hour.
29:57
It's a homely shop where the girls and staff can talk to each other
30:07
and ask for advice. Could you tell me more about your job?
30:12
What is Chikan play? The girls wait while holding onto the train handles.
30:21
The customers come up behind us and touch us, acting out different fantasies.
30:34
What do the customers usually ask you to do? They want us to act as if we dislike it,
30:41
so that they really feel like they're abusing someone on a train. There are some people who continue to do things even after I warn them not to.
30:53
When they do that, it makes me feel down. There are times I get depressed and feel like quitting.
31:08
Have you ever encountered Chikan in real life? I have.
31:13
It was years ago. I couldn't even speak up.
31:20
If I experience Chikan now, I think I'd be able to grab their hands
31:27
and deal with it better.
31:36
To get closer to Maomi, we arrange to see Noctis and Lupus again.
32:01
They're joined by a friend. What's your relationship with Maomi?
The network is bigger than we thought
32:06
- Maomi needs a lot of promotion for the videos he sells. - We need lots of Twitter accounts.
32:13
- I work from midday to midnight... With Maomi?
32:18
- Yes, I do marketing, promotion, and crack down on our competitors. The payments on Maomi's websites were paid to my account,
32:24
and then I transferred the money to Maomi. I was the only one gathering videos.
32:32
I have uploaded more than 5,000 videos for Maomi. Some men are very perverted, and they just want to see these women getting...
32:39
- ...getting screwed over. Yes. So the first website is...? Chihan Club.
32:46
He wanted to make money from the mainland Chinese, so he created a new website called Jieshe. - You can say Maomi has a monopoly in this area.
32:53
- Among all the people I met, few can reach his height. Is Maomi in Tokyo or in another city?
33:00
- Maomi is right here in Tokyo. - But he's unwilling to come out. He's concerned about safety. Then we can talk at his home?
33:06
- He would be even more reluctant. Why? - Because of his personality.
33:12
- I am one of the few people that he trusts. - I have some influence over him
33:18
but I can't reveal more to you.
33:24
Noctis tells Ian he no longer works with Maomi.
33:35
So later that night, we meet up with Lupus alone.
33:43
He puts Maomi on speaker phone and tells Ian to pretend he’s not in the room.
33:48
- Hi, Maomi. - Hello. - Hello.
33:54
- Is it a good time to talk? - Now the boss is in the room next door. - Should I give him the phone?
34:01
- Then you two can chat about collaboration and investment?
34:08
It's not a good time now. You have to give me advance notice for this. - I see.
34:13
If I take his money but the cake is not made bigger, our cut will shrink.
34:20
Don't discuss this with him right now. Do you get it? - Yes, I get that.
34:27
- What Maomi meant was that his business doesn't need investment. - He's happy to be left alone.
34:34
- To be honest, he doesn't really trust you yet.
34:41
It appears that Maomi is playing hard to get.
34:56
Back with the Railway Police, Inspector Murakami is questioning the Chikan suspect.
35:06
Well, you know, if you go back and forth in the same place with a single ticket,
35:11
from our point of view, it's the same behaviour as Chikan.
35:18
So if people see you, they think: "Oh, that weirdo is here again." Right.
35:25
- He said: "I don't do this to women."
35:30
Write that in the statement, that's it. Let's let him go. How difficult it is to really prosecute Chikan criminals?
35:40
There are many warnings that are difficult to turn into a sexual assault case.
35:47
We try very hard to catch them but there are more cases of civilians catching them.
35:55
Why do you think some people commit the Chikan crimes? The perpetrators say that they are under a lot of work and marital stress.
36:14
Some Chikan offenders are recommended by the police to get treatment for sexual addictions.
36:22
Japan has a few clinics treating these illnesses.
36:31
One of them is the Oishi Clinic. It runs group therapy sessions for those who are addicted to Chikan and upskirting,
36:39
known as "Tosatsu" in Japan.
What is Tosatsu? Is it an addiction or a crime?
36:52
A former patient agrees to speak with us. But he wants to remain anonymous.
37:00
Why did you start Tosatsu? I started doing such things because I came across adult websites
37:10
and found many different genres of films. There were Tosatsu ones... I thought that the world today is amazing.
37:19
I started to think that maybe I could do Tosatsu.
37:25
Where did you film the footage? When I passed by train stations
37:31
and there was a target, I was automatically turned on.
37:41
I repeatedly filmed up women's skirts
37:51
for about a year.
37:59
I had to do it every day or I didn't feel at peace.
38:05
I was caught by the police. The police told me there were a lot of people with this addiction.
38:16
I was also told that I should go to hospital. Is Chikan and Tosatsu an illness or is it a crime?
38:23
It is definitely a crime.
38:28
The biggest thing was the loss of trust.
38:34
I felt sorry for my family, my friends,
38:40
my relatives.
38:52
We've heard nothing from Maomi.
38:58
But on Chinese New Year's eve, our luck suddenly changes.
39:03
We get a call from Maomi's assistant. Hello. - Hello.
39:08
Are you in Tokyo? - Yes, I'm in Tokyo. - I’m near Ikebukuro.
39:14
I'll take a taxi now and head your way,
39:19
so we can celebrate Chinese New Year together. - OK.
39:27
En route, Ian is sent an address for a karaoke club.
39:40
He's met by someone outside and escorted in.
39:48
Hello. Are you Cantonese? I'm from Guangzhou, and he's my business partner from north-east China.
39:57
Which one of you two is Maomi? Oh, OK. Happy New Year!
40:02
Happy New Year! Wish you all good fortune.
40:08
Ian gets straight to business. I don't know if Lupus has told you
40:14
that you can keep control over the websites, but we must make it clear how much money we get per year.
40:24
Our daily turnover is around 5,000 to 10,000 Chinese Yuan ($700 to $1,400).
40:32
The income is very stable. This website is not yours, is it? DingBuZhu is mine.
40:38
DingBuZhu is yours? - We made them all. They are definitely all ours. On another website, we charge 180 Chinese Yuan ($26) for a membership
40:47
and it has over 10,000 members. Which website? Chihan.
40:53
How many new videos do you get from mainland China every month? About 30 to 100 videos per month.
41:02
Does Uncle Qi shoot all his videos in Guangzhou? I'm Uncle Qi.
Uncle Qi’s true identity revealed
41:08
I'm Uncle Qi. Uncle Qi, the person we've been looking for
41:14
turns out to be a 27-year-old man that looks like a college student.
41:20
He shows off his Twitter account, where he openly promotes his sexual assault videos.
41:27
And there's more. Did you take all the Uncle Qi videos yourself?
41:33
Well... I can't say any more about that. All I can say is that I have a team.
41:40
So it's your original content? Yes. How many people do you have in your current team?
41:49
I have a team of about 15 people.
41:54
Ten of them are in China. So did your team start filming these several years ago?
42:03
Yes. Why are our train, bus and metro videos so successful?
42:10
Because people commute every day, and they like to see such things.
42:15
They don't like seeing the girl being penetrated, but they like to see these places, to fantasise sexually.
42:21
I know what they want, because I have this fetish myself. They say I'm the trendsetter.
42:36
We found Uncle Qi. But there's one last piece of the puzzle.
42:43
We want to know his real identity. Ian meets him for lunch the following day.
42:51
Hey. Sit, sit. Great timing. I've ordered.
43:00
Wish you good fortune. Wish you good fortune. Now that you have three websites, Maomi, we can all work together...
43:12
Yes, three. One is called Chihan, another is called DingBuZhu. And one is called Tuya,
43:18
also known as Jieshe. After we start collaborating, we can gradually prepare to expand into new markets.
43:28
As Ian asks where to send the investment funds, Maomi makes a mistake.
43:34
He gets out his bank card and hands it to Ian. It reveals his real name:
43:41
Tang Zhuoran. This is the identity of the man
43:47
who's built a business out of sexually assaulting women.
43:59
We know some people not only do this kind of sexual harrassment on the metro
Chikan survivors speak out
44:04
but also film the process and put it online for sale. How do you feel when you hear about this kind of thing?
44:10
I was actually quite shocked. They violated many women's self-esteem and privacy.
44:18
They didn't get consent. They exposed women's privacy to the public
44:26
and sold it for profit. I think this kind of behaviour is actually very shameful.
44:37
What do you think about this new business combining Chikan and upskirting,
44:42
cashing in on sexual violence? - To the people who are sexually assaulting us,
44:47
we women are just content for their videos. They see us as objects.
44:55
They don't think we have a heart.
45:01
Do you have any message for them? I would like to ask them: "What are women to you?"
45:07
“Do you treat your mother and family in the same way?" “ Don't you have someone important?"
45:14
“ If you do, are you okay with the same thing happening to them?"
45:26
It's time to confront Maomi and put our allegations to him.
45:32
We locate his address in Tokyo and wait for him outside.
45:41
Suddenly, we spot him.
Confronting Uncle Qi
45:52
Hello, Maomi. My name is Zhaoyin Feng. I am a reporter from the BBC. We want to ask you a few questions.
45:58
We know that you are the online persona Uncle Qi, and you produce, commission and sell videos online of women being sexually assaulted.
46:20
Maomi, we also know that you have founded and are running three websites: DingBuZhu, Jieshe and Chihan. You cash in on sexual violence against women.
46:28
Why do you do that? We also know that you're making tens of thousands of dollars per month
46:34
from these websites featuring videos of sexual assaults. Maomi. Do you have any response?
46:43
Have you thought about the women in your videos and how much harm you have inflicted on them? To the women in your videos...
46:49
Go away. Go away. Go away. What do you have to say? Do you want to say anything to the victims?
46:57
Do you do this for the money, or do you enjoy abusing these women?
47:02
Hey! Hey! Stop, stop, stop.
47:08
- Back off, back off. - We back off, we back off. - We back off now.
47:13
We're leaving. - Go, go, go, go. - Go. We go. - We go, we go.
47:18
- We go. - Now we go. - Get in, get in, get in. - Is everyone safe?
47:24
Yes. - Drive, drive, drive, drive. - Go, go, go.
47:31
This is insane! Maomi just chased us! He got violent on us!
47:40
He tried to attack the camera. He tried to attack our colleagues. He was charging towards us.
47:46
This is crazy!
47:52
We put our allegations to him. His only response is silence,
47:57
and then violence. I think he has plenty to think about right now.
48:23
Keep an eye out for those who stare at female high school students, and try to get on the train right behind them.
Anger turns to motivation
48:31
If you see anyone like that, stand between him and the student, just enough to block his line of sight.
48:46
I myself have been sexually assaulted many times since I was a child.
48:52
I was eight years old when I was first molested. I told absolutely no-one about it.
49:03
It was like a natural disaster that women couldn't do anything about. It was something that happened to everyone and we were resigned to it.
49:13
We didn't know that we had the right to say: "I don't like it."
49:20
I've worked so hard to get it ready. I'm so glad they're giving them out this time.
49:34
Although I am furious about Chikan,
49:39
I really feel more regret than anger for not being able to speak up against Chikan
49:48
or ask for help when I was a child. Myself...
49:55
I am now 57 years old. So 50 years ago, if I had asked for help
50:02
or if I had begged for someone to change this society,
50:08
maybe children now wouldn't be encountering Chikan.
50:14
That anger turns into a motivating force that makes me continue this work.
50:23
We just don't want to be sexually assaulted.
